I loved the last Gomez record-- right up there with Field Music in my recent "why didn't more people like this" hall of fame.

This doesn't feel all that special-- kind of all over the place, and a little half-baked. It actually has the same odd sheen that Ian Ball's solo stuff has.

I'll withhold any more judgement until I hear the rest.

I didn't dislike her first album, its just never inspired more than a few listens for me. Excited for this to come out now.

That said, I'll take MPP over anything that came out in 2008.

Opened with In The Flowers then Leaf House.

Played most of MPP (except Bluish, Also Frightened, Taste and No More Runnin). Last three songs were Fireworks>My Girls>Brothersport.

Encore was Banshee Beat and Slippi.

As someone who hates a cappella almost as much he loves AC, not sure how I feel about this. But the clip is worth watching for two reasons:

1. The confused laughter during the "kitties" part
2. The awkward silence at the end, when the crowd doesn't realize the song is over.

WOW-- truly one of the worst reviews I've read in a while. Why would they let this chump write the review on such an anticipated record?

4 obnoxious paragraphs and shout-outs to Pink, Justin Timberlake and Dan Deacon before there is a SINGLE WORD about the record itself.

Paste isn't great, but this is a new low.
