if jared actually wanted people to believe his side of things he probably should have went with a less elaborate, obviously fake story.
"They started getting all chuckles with me and so I told them I wasn't gonna have it. After that, Wavves tour manager hit me square in the face with a bottle."
really? REALLY?

this is one of my favorite songs on the album and the video is beautiful.

this is weird but the description of this band on Fat Possum records totally turned me against them a couple months ago. I didn't think their album was that great in the first place but the FP intro was the nail in the coffin. Anyway, this is one of the songs I really liked from the album. I think if I listened to the album again, I would probably like it.

this is really sad. like I said, his music was a huge part of my childhood. I've learned the thriller dance on three separate occasions. RIP Michael. :-( oh boy today is crazy.

but i will say some of my best memories from childhood involve Michael Jackson's music. I hope he recovers. He is a legend, despite the spectacle of the last ten years.

ahah $tereogum. i get it. it's sad because i already hate this movie before it has even come out, it's trying too hard to exploit my indie sensibilities. zooey? mysterious skin (ugh) guy? sundance selection? THE SMITHS? REGINA SPEKTOR?? Ugh with a side of Gross.
anyway, advertisement doesn't really bother me. this music video is good but the song is not. The band looks really cool though, so there's that.

You know what? I agree because being comically horrified at a grown man cutting the skin off of a life-sized sex doll, then wearing that skin, then wearing a latex catsuit over that skin with high heels and dancing in front of a camera, then uploading that video to youtube for the pleasure of other doll skin wearing men across the world is the same as saying (or having your puppet say) "ha! all black people are criminals and love malt liquor!"
You sir, are a genius.

Jake Gyllenhaal is so much hotter than the average person. It's incredible! It seems the actress plays some sort of a central role rather than just being saved all the time, good on you Disney, I guess. I never really understood the Pirates movies from the trailers or the actual movies but they were good fun anyway, which I suspect this movie will be too as long as I don't pay full price to see it.

well...that's not entirely true, torture porn existed and kind of was a u.s phenomenon, in B-side horror films and was a subsection of horror since probably the early 70s? I don't think it was directly called torture porn though, i don't know.

i am not a psychopath and i've seen this movie twice and i liked it. as in i saw the original and the remake and i liked them both. they are hard to watch, and I don't think Haneke went all out with deconstructing the film, it was still pretty easy to watch in terms of narrative progression. yeah the rewinding scene was like "gaah whyy?!?!?!?" but that's what it was suppose to do so I think he did alright for himself with this one.
Also torture porn, ugh. hate that everyone is in love with Crazy Eyes from Inglourious Basterds. Never forget that asshole brought mainstream cinema some of the most awful films ever made.

I reckon this doesn't sound so bad. Danny B used to be my favorite director when 28 Days Later came out, which would be when I was about 13 or 14.

I think using my diminishing internet quota (they have those in Australia) was worth watching that video, Gabe.

this episode was an exciting new low in shuester's character development. his face aggravates me. my friends and i were cringing SO MANY CRINGES when he rapped and then even more when he danced to thong song. the only good thing about this episode was how many of puck's jokes were actually funny t instead of his usual no laugh one-liners, and of course the fact that he had way more face time, and what a wonderful face (and body) it is.
Also are they ever going to address the fact that Finn is so fucking stupid and his football team is so bad and glee club is so crap that he's not going to get a scholarship anywhere so he should just apply to work for emerald dreams?
