I don't think it sounds weird or complex AT ALL. It does remind me of "Electricityscape" from First Impressions of Earth, with a little bit of "Vision of Division" from the same album.

If you haven't heard their 1st album "Limbo, Panto", look for the video for "The Devil's Crayon". Best Song of '08 IMO. The queue outside Joe's Pub will probably be massive but I'm there.
