I'm a little hesitant to call such quick outrage on this one. First of all, of course he owns castles, he bought them with all the moneys WE THE AMERICAN MOVIE-GOING PEOPLE gave him for doing jack shit on film. What else you do when it keeps roooooolllllinnng in(Knowing, $24.8, opening weekend)???
Secondly, he probably actually is feeling the effects of the recession (oh no, now I only have 4 butlers) and it made sense to sell a huge ass castle he owns that he doesn't even go to anymore so he did. And I'd be willing to bet the tabloids over in Germany would love to do few things more than to report on Ole Nicky Cage having to give up that awesome castle that used to be theirs. Then some dude at the NYT caught wind of it through his Nicolas Cage RSS feed and mistakenly thought anyone gave a damn.
But still, fuck you, Nicolas Cage.
