i saw micachu WITHOUT the shapes the other month here in Exeter, UK. They were supporting late of the pier and they just seemed to be boring... Singer kind of only moved her mouth and that's it. Maybe they were just on a bad night, or maybe "the shapes" were not just a name change.

Blur should never have agreed to this. British Gas con the british public year after year. For example after acquiring knowledge that gas prices would lower heavily following the new year, British Gas set out a fixed price plan "so as gas prices so go up you still pay the same amount", when of course they went down and everybody carried on paying the peak amount.
Maybe they agreed because the song is really supposed to be sarcastic...I mean if you watch the video and listen to the lyrics, it's all about fake truths and such; "every paper that you read says tomorrow's your lucky day".

I wouldn't really call that a con. Many American energy companies also tried that same deal, and that's just the way it worked out. Its up to the consumer to choose whether or not to accept the deal. You could make the argument that all the energy companies are in it together, but I'm not sure how strong that sounds...
