I'm a huge Radiohead fan. I'd wager maybe the biggest here. That also, however, makes me a harsh critic of the band (as super-fans usually are) but I think I can safely say this is boring and not very good.
Sorry boys.

Elvis has 30 something albums and only a handful are downright bad.
I'm always interested in his new releases even if they are rarely great anymore.
He is less interesting than Neil Young with his desire to write "songs" and such, but hey...

Last time I checked, people don't need to be great artists in order to have oppinions and make observations. Otherwise, we'd all have to buy everything. Good luck with High School!

I don't like this stuff. Whenever I hear that Of Montreal song I think of Outback. It takes away a personal element. That saud, its not my choice to make and Today is an old song.

I'm understand/accept the fact that music is just gonna become more and more disposable as people have easier access to it and spend less time with individual albums, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna like it. You won't ever hear me cry "SELL OUT!!!" about this stuff, but its still hurts the music IMO.

Okay, she isn't a big enough fan. I'm sure everyone here has heard the horror stories of fans meeting Thom and him telling them to blow off.

I lol'd

I can't really even understand Wayne's motives in the first place. Win can't be a bigger prick than/then Thom Yorke has been reported to be so I'm inclined to not care too much.

Sorry Wayne, but you lose.... unless this shit goes around again.

WAT! Is this the new BLUR vs. OASIS!!!!! BEATLES vs. STONES!!!!! ????

In reply to The Life of the Mind's comment on Flaming Lips Vs. Arcade Fire Round 2: Win Butler Strikes Back at March 5, 2009 12:50 AM

Good point. I'm not sure but this sounds like both. I could see Win being a prick or whatever to his crew and bandmates, but I'm not sure I would say he's a dick to the crowd. They tend to be pretty crowd friendly compared to most bands.
Wayne seems like a good guy, but on the other hand he also seems like the sort of dude I couldn't be friends with. If he tried to talk to me I'd probably be a bit distant and short. Maybe Win is like me.
Maybe we both just assume that Wayne does a lot of hard drugs and wants to talk about crazy shit that we don't wanna talk about!

Or maybe Arcade Fire are a bunch of dicks. Who knows? I would only argue that they seem to treat the fans pretty good, but at the end of the day I can't care.

John Lennon was a prick. Thom Yorke was a prick in the old days. Lots of great artists are pricks... thats part of what makes them more interesting than me.
