On Stereogum

It's not that it is bad, it just does so little for so much. Can't record TV, very limited number of codecs, no support for DVD or anything. It's more of a delivery system for iTunes. If all your media is purchased from iTunes, then it is good for you. But there are many better options for media center (Boxee/XBMC) that add features like support for all types of codecs, DVR-capabilities, and even play DVDs/CDs for cheaper.

Tech nerd out. Music nerd in! How about them Japandroids? My choice for album of the year.

An Apple TV! OMG!

What, did an editor want to get rid of that piece junk or something?

Album release was 2008, single release for "In the New Year" was 2009. But I agree, for a band like the Walkmen, singles mean absolutely nothing. It is a 2008 song, I mean, what hip NYE party didn't play it last year.

This would have been the perfect chance for Pitchfork to do what it should have done back in the day. Forget that The Rapture ever happened. And 500-201 presented without comment = Hey, we at Pitchfork can shuffle our Most Played too!

Overall, fun way to kill some time.

Go ahead. You can do it! I believe in you.

As for the song, really does sounds like post-Separation Sunday Hold Steady. Chicken-egg scenario.

You know, "Papa Was A Rodeo" and Oberst could of been damn good. But my god, that one is terrible. But this seems pretty solid. It'll be a fun one listen.

Real story here is the change in Kristen Davis' motivation. In America, she is valiantly trying but failing to avoid her dress getting wet. In England, she is preparing to flash her cooter.

Well, I wouldn't describe Fallon's personal brand of stumbling and giggling as low energy and lacking affect. Fallon had a more "hyena on a meth binge" method of ruining sketches. January just gave me chills down my spine, cause looking at her face was like looking a vast expanse of whiteness and nothingness, extending forever to the horizon. I felt very cold and like no happiness or life would ever occur again. It was a lot like Montreal in January.

The movie comes to an ambiguous ending. The man wakes up, seemingly from a dream. But on his right thumb? A thimble.

Boom goes the mind-amite.

It's funny how there will be no Oscars this year because of the CMA's. I got a call from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and they told me they are shutting it down cause blonde lady on the left won all the Oscars for her performance in "Tired Joke".

Trust me, you can take the piss out of anything, regardless of quality.

"The whole movie is based on a friggin' sled! Add to the fact that a reporter spends the whole movie investigating (what, no kittens stuck in any trees that week?) the last word that no one was in the room to hear. Bullshit."

More on topic, I was called Adam Brody for the first semester of college. The O.C. years were a good time to a sarcastic Jew. Swimming in Meg Ryan quality poon.
