Ryan looks like a homeless man who is hassling Mandy for loose change so he can buy a six-pack of beer and get in an argument with the sidewalk.

Really awkward WITH everyone involved? Is this an orgy we're talking about here?

Langhorne + The War Eagles + Crackerfarm = whole lotta awesome.

I think this album is fresh, creative, and ballsy as hell. And Pitchfork can toss as many convoluted, SAT-word-laden sentences as they want at it, it won't change my opinion that it's awesome. To the left, to the left.

Ah, thank so much for posting this. I promised myself I was going to stay up to watch it, but ended up falling asleep anyway. I'm so glad they played "I Got Mine" instead of "Strange Times".

Though, to be fair, this is their second or third Letterman performance. ;)

I don't think they'll have any trouble selling you guys during the live show, I just caught them at the Warfield in SF and they were fantastic. Enjoy Lollapalooza.

It's such a bummer that these guys finished up the California leg of their tour just as their EP came to my attention. Unless they decide to come back at the tail end, it'll probably be a good while before I can see them live. Balls.

Nice review, at any rate!

I'm usually not a fan of the re-tooling of sites I've frequented for a long time (see: Television Without Pity) but this is really nice. :)

As we pass saturation point for press coverage of Montreal, Portland, Brooklyn and et cetera, it seems Lawrence, Kansas is poised for its coming turn in the music media trend piece carousel. At least from what we're hearing; this marks...

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

The Bergen trio Ungdomskulen play proggy post punk, mixing chops and hooks with a sense of humor. But they don't sound like Primus. When I was in Norway a couple years ago, "Ungdomskulen" seemed to be on everybody's lips (or...

Premature Evaluation: Beck - Modern Guilt

It's been some time since we learned Modern Guilt, Beck Hansen's eighth album, would be some sort of psych rock minimalist '60s trip with Danger Mouse. Since then, we've gotten a look at the old-school jazz/Blue Note-style cover art and...

Damien Jurado - "Murderer" (Low Cover)
