I love Ida with an incredible passion. I have listened to her album at least two or three times a week (and usually more) every week since December. I've seen her live three times, front row for each.* I've probably listened to "Oh My God" 300 times in the past 300 days.
I have now listened to this version of "Oh My God" three times, and I don't need to hear it a fourth time. Guuuuuuuuuh.
*Last time, she gave me a prolonged hug- while she was still on stage (at the end of her cover of, naturally, the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog"). I've had a pretty awesome life, but that was one of my best moments ever, hands down.

I like "Jeff Penalty" quite a bit. I don't love it, but it manages to have a catchiness (if that's a word; my spell check doesn't think so) that falls somewhere between THS and W/IFS. To be fair, I've seen Franz live four times between those two bands, so I'm clearly predisposed to his music, but I had somehow missed all of his solo work. Obviously, I'm now going to check it out.

I wish they were working on a NiggyTardust! 2. Saul Williams is my favorite rapper... well, ever.

Love it. Fucking love it. I also like that the title is now punctuated. Lord, I can't wait- I don't know what it will sound like, but I know that I will almost certainly adore it.

Black Dice is the single worst band I have ever seen live in my entire life. I have not listened to a single one of their songs since, because even thinking about them makes me want to tear my ears off. Fuck Black Dice and their godawful noise.

I respectfully disagree with everyone above- I think that Bonnaroo has better headliners without a doubt, but I prefer Coachella's lineup top to bottom- but suffice it to say, neither is a slouch. And also, I'm in Jersey and poor, so I'm not going to either one, anyway.

As a big Weezy fan, I thought it was hilarious when he first started playing the guitar and immediately became the worst guitar player of all-time... but now? It's just sad. This song is sad- this whole side project of his is sad. You're already the best rapper in the world, Wayne. Stick with that.

The only thing that hurt my head today more than trying to listen to that song was trying to read that comment.

I completely lost it when this aired. I was laughing my ass off, and when I watched it a second time, I laughed my ass off again.

I always love seeing Finn perform. Is he talking? Is he singing? Is he yelling? It just doesn't matter, because no matter what he's doing, it's full of energy and emotion and rock genius.
I'd say "Slapped Actress" is the best thing on that album, but that's just me.
At this point, does Franz actually like the moustache, or does he only keep it because Hold Steady and W/IFS fans would think less of him if he shaved it?

Best rapper in the world dude? Your knowledge of current hip hop must be extremely limited if you really believe that.
