I feel as though many songs from the early beginnings of this year get weighed differently because they've been forgotten about in the last 11 months or people have tired of them. Go figure Beyonce just comes out with an album and immediately her song, without having any lasting value, lands at #1. I couldn't disagree more.

Agreed... My thoughts are that is was for their innovative video for this song, which shouldn't really be the driving factor here.

VERY surprised Cut Copy wasn't even mentioned, especially for 'BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM'. What a crock. But then again, this is the Grammys, and they couldn't find someone better than Kid Rock for 'BEST ROCK ALBUM'. meh

Why do people INSIST on saying that hip hop and rap are different? "Hip Hop" refers to a cultural movement and "rap" is the music of that culture. Saying, "I like Hip Hop" is just short for saying, "I like Hip Hop music" which is long for saying, "I like rap".
End of story.
