Stream New Order Lost Sirens
New Order’s 2005 album Waiting For The Sirens’ Call isn’t anywhere near anybody’s list of favorite New Order albums, but the LP does hold a certain historical significance. It’s the band’s last album before its extremely loud and contentious break with bassist Peter Hook, and no matter what the reconstituted band does from here on out, that makes it, in a lot of ways, the final New Order album. (A reconciliation with Hook isn’t impossible, I suppose, but it sure seems unlikely.) The album also yielded a whole bunch of unreleased tracks, enough to fill another album. And that’s just what the band have done, compiling eight unreleased songs on the new collection Lost Sirens. And right now, you can stream the entire thing at Rolling Stone.
Lost Sirens is out 1/14 on Rhino.
