Coliseum – “Black Magic Punks”
The Louisville stomp-rock power trio Coliseum play a sort of metal/punk hybrid that also draws on the ragged precision of fellow Louisville band Slint; they’re a band worth paying attention to. In a few months, they’ll release their new album Sister Faith, produced by the former Jawbox/Burning Airlines frontman J. Robbins. Robbins also guests, as do Sebadoh’s Jason Loewenstein and Boris’s Wata, the latter on the band’s charged-up lead single “Black Magic Punks.” Listen to it below.
