Bonnaroo 2013 Lineup

Unlike Coachella, who had us waiting in suspense for weeks — analyzing the economics of the festival industry and trying to divine insight from fake posters — before dropping their 2013 lineup at night, totally unannounced, Bonnaroo is doing this the old-fashioned way: by having Weird Al host a live stream on YouTube. The Tennessee festival’s lineup will be revealed by the “Eat It” singer over the course of an hourlong presentation called “B.L.A.M!” — short for the Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon. (The exclamation point is vestigial.) And we can watch that sucker right here, now, together, below. Let’s do, and share what we learn in the comments.

UPDATE: All right, we’ve got the full Bonnaroo lineup here, and it’s obviously pretty stacked — like, to the point that running down highlights is not that much different than just posting the list in full. I’ll pick 10 names at random that are exciting to me: Björk; the National; Baroness; Earl Sweatshirt; Swans; Japandroids; Death Grips; HAIM; Killer Mike; Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. That said, I could just as easily pick another 10 names that I find equally exciting, and probably another 10 after that. Check it out for yourself.
