Action Bronson – “Morey Boogie Boards” (Prod. Harry Fraud)
The New York rap producer Harry Fraud has spent the past couple of years building a serious name by releasing full-length collabs with a ton of different rappers and by crafting an aesthetic that walks the line between classicist NY boom-bap and head-blown psych-rock drift; his Danny Brown track “HottestMC” is an excellent recent example. And tomorrow, Fraud will release his own new mixtape Adrift, an EP-length odds-and-ends collection. One of its tracks is “Morey Boogie Boards,” an excellently stoned team-up with Action Bronson, who brings oblique references for days and raps them hard as all hell over Fraud’s amniotic organs and windblown guitars. Listen below.
Adrift should be up for free download tomorrow. I really hope “Fern Gully” catches on as a term for weed.
