Stream Low The Invisible Way
The big news about The Invisible Way, the new album from Minnesota indie lifers Low, is that Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy produced it. But the thing that strikes me most about the album is that it reaches back to the slow, hushed intimacy of the band’s early record. Tweedy’s production obviously isn’t as austere as, say, the recording jobs that Steve Albini used to give Low, but the essence is there, and it’s strong. We’ve already posted the album tracks “Plastic Cup,” “Just Make It Stop,” and “So Blue,” and now the whole album is streaming online. Listen to it at NPR.
The Invisible Way is out 3/19 on Sub Pop.
