On their new remix EP, the impressionistic Florida band Hundred Waters has invited producers like Blood Diamonds and Daedelus to remix “Boreal,” a floating track from their self-titled 2012 album. One of the remixers is Phantoms, an L.A.-based production duo who, like Hundred Waters, are affiliated with Skrillex despite sounding nothing whatsoever like Skrillex. Phantoms’ remix of the track is an ethereal seven-minute dance track that gives me Kompakt Records flashbacks, and you can hear it below.

The Boreal remix EP is out 3/26 on OWSLA, and Phantoms’ self-titled EP is out now on OWSLA’s NEST subscription series.
