Jordan Geiger, the occasional Shearwater and Minus Story member, earned Band To Watch status way the hell back in 2008 for recording epic slow-motion indie rock as Hospital Ships, and he’s getting ready to release his new album Destruction In Yr Soul. The first song we’ve heard from it is a triumphant slow-burner called “Come Back To Life,” an expertly executed song that reaches for rafters in ways that indie bands dont do too much anymore.
