The Richmond/Raleigh punk quartet Barren Girls are newly signed to Merge, and their debut EP Hell Hymns blasts through four songs in 10 minutes. Closing track “She-Devil” is demented, organ-dominated garage-prog that gives me serious Murder City Devils flashbacks, and you can hear it below.
