Future – “No Love”
Thus far in 2013, the AutoTuned Atlanta sing-rapping inward-focused weirdo Future is almost definitely rap’s man of the year. A week and a half ago, I watched him do a completely-solo half-hour set at the Fader Fort during SXSW, doing nothing but anthems, songs that have been on heavy rap-radio rotation within the past year, and everyone knew every word. It was awesome. (Seriously, he’s everything great about “Bugatti,” quite possibly the song of the year) Now, he’s getting ready to release another solo mixtape called HPG 2, which is excellent news. Its first single is a moody and chintzy synth-moaner called “No Love,” and the sooner you let it trickle in, the sooner it will bond to your soul. Listen below.
