Hudson Mohawke – “Pleasure”
In the fall of 2011, known slow jam-enthusiast Hudson Mohawke released the Pleasure Principle series, featuring a number of R&B remixes he concocted, influenced by an “imaginary world where The Dream, Morris Day, and Alexander O’Neal headline illegal raves and Timabland never fell off.” The tracks did a tiny stint on Soundcloud, natch, but were ultimately restricted to very rare vinyl. Now Mohawke’s remixed its namesake, Janet Jackson’s “Pleasure Principle,” to celebrate an upcoming weekend festival in Cornwall, UK. Check out information on the Pleasure Principle Weekender, which includes performances from Mohawke’s duo with Lunice TNGHT, Just Blaze, and Rustie, among others here. Download “Pleasure” below.
