Watch Phosphorescent Play Fallon
Matthew Houck’s synth-lined Muchacho single “Song For Zula” is a cinematic and pretty six-minute thing, built of swirling violins, a punchy little bass groove, and Phosphorescent’s trusty dusty larynx. Houck went grey and grand for it with the track’s lonely official video, while on Fallon it was a sizable group affair: many strings, hand percussion, full band, and a heaven-bent gaze. Note to whoever picked out Matt’s suit: Perfect. Watch:
