Last time on James Franco Vs. Riff Raff, we reported that the rapper would mirror one of Franco’s postmodern art stunts — appearing on General Hospital — by taking a cameo role on soap One Life To Live as a character named James Franko. If you’ve been following the drama between these two, Riffy was none-too-pleased when the actor cited rapper Dangeruss as the inspiration for his role as Alien in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers. I wouldn’t call Riff Raff’s guest spot on One Life a retaliation, so much as a deft display of being a better performance artist than any of us imagined and his long-standing project (which he’s been publicly committed to since he was a contestant on MTV’s From G’s To Gents in 2008) truly out-Francos Franco. Or, he’s just a rapper scorned and soap opera acting gigs are the new dis tracks. Either way, Riff Raff is a superior actor compared to the rest of the cast he appears with (supporting the former theory), even though he seems to be playing himself (“I came to get my moneys. I need my fettucinis!”). Check it out below. It’s something else.
