In his video for “Embracism,” Kirin J Callinan wakes up naked, shows off copious buttcheek and a few homemade-looking tattoos, lets out a mighty groan, and begins to grunt out his lurching, Suicide-addled post-industrial grind. The clip starts out as a sexed-up leer and gradually transforms into a symphony of glitches and creeped-out gestures. Cara Stricker got extremely up close and personal with Callinan to film it.
