Bent Shapes – “Big Machines”
The Boston jangle-pop trio Bent Shapes make catchy songs, but their hooks don’t obscure the jittery anxiety at their center. We posted their single “Behead Yourself, Pt. 2” a few weeks ago, and the band’s debut album Feels Weird arrives next month. Right now, you can hear “Big Machines,” a relatively sprawling song at nearly four minutes, which features a great Tom Verlaine-style guitar solo. Listen to the track at SPIN.
Feels Weird is out 8/20 on Father/Daughter Records.
