The Samps, comprised of Cole MGN (Nite Jewel, formerly Haunted Graffiti), Jason Darrah, and Harland Burkhart, are braintwisters of the electronic music community. On their own SoundCloud, they describe their group as one that, "[gets] together when they can. They could Devour and Conquer the whole Realm Of Modern Day (2012) Electronic Music, but they're too busy trying to make money." With "Plans," from their April-released 12" of the same name, they've concocted a beguiling digital collage that kicks off with bright falsetto synths weaving into a ghostly backdrop that drives into gurgling B-movie horror. If you are really into the odd patchwork of electronic nostalgia that is Hudson Mohawke's Butter but also Ariel Pink, crank this up below.

"Plans"/"Twice High" 12" was released on Darrah's Gloriette Records in April after they "found" them in the office bathroom, where they had "been" since 2012. See, braintwisters.
