Brooklyn indie-pop group North Highlands have been Stereogum mainstays for years, but it’s been a little while since we’ve heard new music from the band. Since they released their debut album Wild One in 2011, they’ve stuck to performing live, as well as reissuing the LP on vinyl. Now they’re at work on another full-length but will unleash a new 7″ at the new of this month. Its A-side, “I’ll Do My Best,” continues their narrative of light fare but there’s something subtly fierce about its Franco-pop edge. Check it out below.
