Islands, the Canadian art-poppers led by former Unicorn Nick Thorburn, are preparing to unleash their new album Ski Mask upon the world. The first single they shared was the lush but twitchy "Wave Forms," and now they've got another one called "Becoming The Gunship," a title that Thorburn claims came to him in a dream. The song is a slow, sweeping, assured ballad with a poised and powerful lead vocal from Thorburn, who seems to be getting better as a singer all the time. Give it a listen below.
