Watch Christine McVie Reunite With Fleetwood Mac In London
The singer and keyboardist Christine McVie was a huge part of Fleetwood Mac’s success during its ridiculous late-’70s hot streak; she wrote “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Loving Fun” and many of the band’s other hits. She was also a huge part of Fleetwood Mac’s byzantine intra-band romantic saga. She joined the band after marrying bassist John McVie in 1970 and divorced him in 1979 after all sorts of drama. She hasn’t performed with the band since 1998. But last night, Fleetwood Mac played the second night of a three-night stand at London’s O2 arena, and McVie joined them onstage, hugged everyone, and helped perform “Don’t Stop.” It was nice. According to Stevie Nicks, McVie is also planning to put in an appearance at tonight’s show.
