French Montana – “Gifted” (Feat. The Weeknd) Video
Ever since he stopped being an anonymous internet presence and started being a flesh-and-blood major-label recording artist, the Weeknd has fully entered the rap-album featured-artist turntable. First, he was on Drake’s “Crew Love,” and since then he’s shown up on Wiz Khalifa’s “Remember You” and Juicy J’s “One Of Those Nights.” The twist: Abel Tesfaye tends to steal these songs away from the rappers who have contracted his services. On French Montana’s “Gifted,” for instance, French only shows up when the song is nearly half over and Tesfaye is still casting his silky spell. Tesfaye also gets to hog a lot of the camera time in director Eif Rivera’s new “Gifted” video, in which both artists hang out at a burlesque club. French, however, gets a pretty nice consolation prize, since he’s the one who gets to hold the tiger cubs. Watch it below.
French Montana’s album Excuse My French is out now on Bad Boy/Interscope.
