Conan O’Brien and Will Sheff, frontman for Austin rockers Okkervil River, are two men with New England roots who seem like they’ve read a few books in their lives. So maybe it was a meeting of the minds when Okkervil River served as musical guests on last night’s episode of Conan. Or maybe it was just part of the album-release cycle for Okkervil River’s The Silver Gymnasium. Either way, the band put in a spirited rendition of “Down Down The Deep River” on TV, and you can watch it below.
