Stream The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack
As we noted earlier, the Hunger Games film series has taken over for Twilight not only as the default literary/cinematic obsession for brooding teeny-boppers but as the pipeline for connecting those fans with something resembling alternative music. Whereas the vampires stared longingly to the sounds of Thom Yorke and Bon Iver, the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire features music from the National, Lorde, Coldplay, the Weeknd, Santigold, Antony & The Johnsons, Patti Smith, and more. And now you can hear the whole damn thing at iTunes.
The soundtrack comes out 11/19 via Universal Republic, and the movie hits theaters on 11/22. I’d make a joke here about your innocent niece bumping Abel Tesfaye, but then again, she is going to see a movie about murdering children.
