Conor Oberst Auditioned To Play Llewyn Davis
The latest issue of Interview features Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst interviewing actor Oscar Isaac, who plays the titular Greenwich Village folkie in the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis. Their exchange immediately reveals a juicy factoid: Before Isaac was in the picture, Oberst was among those who auditioned for the role of Llewyn Davis. You can read the full interview here, or you can scroll down and picture what Oberst’s cracked tenor might have sounded like in the Stereogum-beloved “Please Mr. Kennedy” scene.
Inside Llewyn Davis is out now nationwide.
