Gem Club make mournful, beautifully arranged chamber pop that brings to mind the early work of Low, like on the previously released “Polly.” With minimal instrumentation, this latest cut “Braid” uses sobering piano melodies to pull you in while the trio of vocals from Christopher Barnes, Kristen Drymala, and Ieva Berberian maintain a ghostly presence throughout.
