Watch London Grammar Play Fallon
The silky, restrained British trio London Grammar walks a line between synthpop and R&B that suggests, say, the xx if they spent a year straight listening to nothing but Sade. (They also collaborated with Disclosure on “Help Me Lose My Mind,” which is reason enough to pay attention to them.) And as Americans learned last night, they are fully capable of bringing their smoky, glamorous gravity to the stage. The group made their American TV debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night. They played “Strong” and, as a web bonus, “Wasting My Young Years,” and both performances were the sort that you remember afterwards. Watch them below.
London Grammar’s album If You Wait is out now on Metal & Dust Recordings.
