Oakland’s Adam Widener is the former frontman of the Bay Area garage rock bands Bare Wires and Zygoteens, and late last year, my friend Blair released his debut solo album Vesuvio Nights. Widener’s solo style is a sort of herky-jerk punk-rock take on garage, and his video for the album track “Laughter On Your Heels I’ll Follow” plunges him into an animated world that looks like an old-school concert flier.
