Watch Seahawks Fans Chris Cornell, Macklemore, Ann Wilson Get Psyched For The Super Bowl
As you might have heard, the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks will square off in the Super Bowl this Sunday at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. Bruno Mars and RHCP will be there, (probably) not performing “Abracadabralifornia” at halftime. They aren’t the only rock stars who’ll be in the house: Ezra Koenig said he’s going, for one thing. One musician will be especially close to the action: Noted Seattle sports junkie Macklemore, who has been sort of a human mascot for the Seahawks this season. He even flew with the team to New York! And he’s among the array of Seattle celebs who discuss their excitement for the Super Bowl in videos on the Seahawks site. Consider Macklemore and Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman have been at the center of the two most heated racial controversies of 2014, the fact that Macklemore ends his clip by casually declaring himself “the white Sherman” is almost beyond comprehension. Get your thinkpieces ready!
Other less incendiary interviews include Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Heart’s Ann Wilson, plus comedic actors Rainn Wilson and Joel McHale and celebrity chef Mario Batali. Watch them all here.
