Last year, as part of its series of Songs From Scratch collaborations, Yours Truly teamed the Chicago R&B singer Jeremih up with the L.A. bass music producer Shlohmo, and their track together, “Bo Peep (Do U Right),” was the best kind of surprise. As it turns out, Jeremih’s silky falsetto and Shlohmo’s weightless beeps are a near-perfect complement to one another, and the song just ruled. So it’s excellent news that Shlohmo and Jeremih have teamed up for a new EP and that the first track they’ve shared from it, “No More,” is just as strong as “Bo Peep (Do U Right)” — a perfectly shivery piece of stop-start future-soul.
