Stream Nothing Guilty Of Everything
The ranks of expansively pretty and brutally fuzzed-out metal/not-metal bands seems to grow every day. Philly shoegazers Nothing are closer to recent-vintage Alcest than they are to Deafheaven on that spectrum, but there’s a heavy intensity to their enormous-sounding debut album Guilty Of Everything that can’t be attributed to just a My Bloody Valentine influence. Frontman Domenic Palermo did time in hardcore bands Horror Show and XO Skeleton (and in prison, for aggravated assault and attempted murder). His guitars bludgeon more than sparkle, but there’s still plenty of beauty there. We’ve posted the band’s song “Dig,” and now you can stream the whole album at NPR.
Guilty Of Everything is out 3/4 on Relapse.
