Pharrell and his hat made an appearance on German entertainment show Wetten, dass...? to perform his new album's lead single, "Happy," only to be upstaged by a young breakdancer who ran down from the audience. The two dance together for most of the song, then things get a little weird as host Markus Lanz practically rips the mic out of Pharrell's hand to talk to the kid. The entire interview gets a little lost in translation, as Pharrell struggles to keep up with what everyone's saying and ends up walking off stage with fellow guest Hilary Swank, both looking a little confused. The whole thing is worth a watch just for the sheer absurdity of it all, but the song starts around 3:30 if you just want to see the cute kid. Watch below.
