Fujiya & Miyagi – “Flaws”
On their last album, 2011’s Ventriloquizzing, the British group Fujiya & Miyagi had settled into a comfortable kraut-pop groove, but now they seem determined to disrupt that. A couple of weeks ago, they came back with a bloopily berserk new track called “Tetrahydrofolic Acid.” That was the first taste of the group’s impending new album Artificial Sweeteners, set to arrive this spring. And now they’ve shared the album’s opener, “Flaws,” which pushes up the group’s beats-per-minute until it sounds something like Italo-disco. Listen to “Flaws” below.
Artificial Sweeteners is out 5/6 on Yep Roc.
