Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino doesn't really strike me as the audiophile type, and yet she recently recorded a live-in-studio session for the speaker manufacturer Jawbone, showing off its binaural recording technique. Binaural recordings use two microphones to capture a sort of 3D sound, and though I can't quite hear the difference, maybe you can. Even if you can't hear it, she does a strong rendition of "Baby, I'm Crying," a ballad from the Fade Away EP that she released last year. Watch it below.
