Watch Sharon Van Etten Unplug “Every Time The Sun Comes Up” In A London Church
Yesterday, Sharon Van Etten shared “Every Time The Sun Comes Up,” the tough and pretty song that ends her forthcoming LP Are We There. And during a recent session for NME, she played a live acoustic version of the song in Islington, London’s Emmanuel Church, with one person accompanying her on backing vocals and some sort of lap-synth doohickey. The song loses something, I suppose, without its elaborate orchestration, but it loses less than you’d think. Watch the performance below.
Are We There is out 5/27 on Jagjaguwar.
