West Coast hardcore chaos agents Trash Talk and rising East Coast hip-hop upstarts Flatbush Zombies teamed for “97.92” in February as part of the Converse-sponsored collaboration compilation CONS EP VOL. 1. The song was a trippy take on boom-bap that reminded me of the Pharcyde, and now it has a trippy video to match. The clip was produced by APlusFilmz and Pier Pictures using a high-tech 360-degree camera on a remote-controlled drone, which is crazy. Here’s a description of the gadget from the director:

“97.92,” was created using a 360-degree HD camera rig with a remote-controlled drone octo-copter. The device utilized is the H3Pro7, invented by Michael Kintner of 360Heros.com, which shoots with 7 GoPro cameras all rolling simultaneously. The 7 shots are synced and stitched together to create the full-360 spherical view, which can then be manipulated with the effects and camera movements you see here.
