Though there has never been an official statement, L.A. rock band (and Smell mainstays) Abe Vigoda are no more. Fortunately Juan Velazquez has been working on a new band called Roses that's been gaining attention locally, and soon they will release their debut EP, Dreamlover. Below you can listen to its opener, "Florence Girls," which covers a bent guitar riff with a romantic new-wave sheen. Listen below.
