Check Out Spoon’s They Want My Soul Merch, Featuring A Bloody Beach Ball
After more than four years, Spoon return later this summer with their new album They Want My Soul. There are plenty of reasons to be excited for this. Spoon have never made a bad album. First single “Rent I Pay” rules hard. The LP will give us a chance to hear what happens when angular sonic architects like Spoon work with a messy psychedelic noise-splooge producer like Dave Fridmann, who helmed half the album. And now: Bloody beach balls! Preorder copies of They Want My Soul are up for sale now, and the most expensive bundle, which will run you $90, includes copies of the album on CD and blue translucent vinyl, as well as a T-shirt, a postcard set, a reproduced handwritten lyric sheet (autographed, if you’re one of the first 100 to buy it) and a beach ball that looks like it has blood all over it. I’m thinking you would have to throw a beach ball pretty hard to draw this much real blood. And don’t worry; the beach ball is available by itself, too. You can check out all of Spoon’s album-related merch here.
