Reporters are a couple 17-year-old London kids playing snotty, catchy rock ‘n’ roll. “Hold The Controls,” the leadoff track from their upcoming Seen Leaving EP, matches harmonic guitar raunch with a deadpan spiel about taking charge of your life rather than letting the remote control you — “so you’re not stuck watching Antiques Roadshow all your life,” as they sing it. This one is quick and punchy, the sort of tune that doesn’t waste time making itself known or getting where it’s going. (Away from the TV, presumably.) Listen and enjoy below.
