Stream Sinkane Mean Love
The Sundanese-born and Brooklyn-based musician Ahmed Gallab started out as a sideman for indie bands like Yeasayer and Caribou before going solo as Sinkane, recording buoyant and inventive soul-pop that pulls its musical references from across the genre map. Next week, Sinkane will follow up his 2012 album Mars with the new album Mean Love, which deepens and expands the already-potent sound of that first album. We’ve posted the early tracks “Hold Tight,” “How We Be,” and “New Name,” and now you can stream the full album at NPR.
Mean Love is out 9/2 on DFA.
