Toronto trio Das Rad make psych-rock of a particularly noisy variety. Their new single, “Radiator,” from their upcoming album, Radiation, hits a chorus built almost entirely from feedback, with vocals that are all faint echo. The trio of Allyn Norris, Dean Dallas Bentley, and Ireek Sofakia cite My Bloody Valentine as an influence, which isn’t especially novel, but it’s so satisfying that they’re channeling the noisy airiness of Isn’t Anything rather than the ubiquitous Loveless. A ghostly introduction for a perfectly named album, “Radiator” glows. Listen below.
