Charli XCX’s Sucker Pushed Back Due To “Boom Clap”‘s Unexpected Success
Charli XCX’s “Break The Rules” arrived with the news that her new album Sucker would be out 10/21, but the rising star announced in a series of tweets today that the album’s release date has been pushed back. Sucker will now be released 12/16 in the US and 1/26 in the UK and Europe. It’s also got a revised album cover (above). The rationale for the postponement is that “Boom Clap,” which hit the internet way back on 4/11, has continued to endure near the fringes of the top 10 for far longer than expected.
