When Pavement’s iconic album Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain turned 20 earlier this year, we put together an oral history of it to celebrate. British label Art Is Hard decided to put together a tribute album, which they called Jam Kids, for Cassette Store Day that recreates the record track-by-track. It’s hard to find a guitar-based band around nowadays that wouldn’t cite Pavement as an influence, so it makes for a good listen with each artist giving it their all. Contributors include PAWS, Flamingods, Dog Legs, and the Black Tambourines. Listen to the whole thing below.
